This was a good read however I wish authors or publishers would pay more attention to grammar. The grammatical errors really disturbed the flow of the book. The story of each character was good but toward the end of the book, the story seemed rushed; especially the Angela storyline. I am shocked there is not a second book because as another reviewer stated, there were some things left unaddressed like Deacon Black's agenda, Lauren's new life, and Gabby's life since her big reveal. So all in all, a good read with a rushed ending and no real closures.
I really liked the topic of this book. It makes you wonder about the lifestyles of your pastor and his family. The have always said that preachers kids are the worst kids. I gave it four stars because of a few errors that should have been caught in editing. But overall it was a wonderful story.
I was ready for juicy scandals butt this was tame despite the title. Good work by the author. It DID speak to issues that are important in today's world. Thanks for the mention on another book about scandalous church folk...
This book was engaging and we'll written. We all go through challenges, and being a child of God doesn't knit you from trouble or sin.
When you sit back and read what other people could be going through, you try to learn from it. This is a good book. Every family is not perfect. Never judge a book by it's cover.
The story line was excellent; however some things were a little too descriptive. It was as if the author was trying to increase the length of the book with little details.
This is a good story line, kept my interest. Although it had a few grammatical errors, it kept my attention.
