I purchased this book on Kindle because I love Ayoad's work on The IT Crowd and I was hoping for a laugh. The book does not disappoint. It's quirky and odd and just what I wanted. The only problem with it is that there are numerous funny footnotes that do not work at all well in the Kindle version. You should purchase the paper version of this book instead. I am doing that now, so I can get the full effect. Which means I have to purchase the book twice. Totally worth it.

This book is like an amusement park of words. As a reader you go up, down, sideways, back and forth. Every direction is unique and purely for fun. Skipping around from thought to thought, I laughed out loud at some and smiled quietly to myself at others. The final result was a fun read. This book made me happy. I'm glad I read it.

So actually I'd say 4 1/2 stars because there was one section I found boring, but other sections made up for it. But you can't choose 4 1/2 stars, and I was always taught to round up on 0.5 and above, except if it's an even number, then just drop it, but this isn't quantitative analysis so I went with the regular rounding rules and thus 5.I only recently was pointed to the presence of The IT Crowd, and despite having children, a husband, dogs and an almost full time job, I managed, in very short order, a massive Hulu/YouTube binge of all things Ayoade, including Gadget and Travel Man, which led me here, plus gave me an appreciation, additionally, for British quiz panel shows and a desire to move to the UK which will undoubtedly subside soon.This book, although clearly extremely loosely autobiographical, still manages to provide insight into its double protagonist (Ayoade the interviewee and Ayoade the interviewer).Thanks for writing this, I enjoyed it, except, as others noted, on the Kindle the footnotes were a bear.

I knew Richard Ayoade was funny, but I didn't realize he was this funny. I absolutely LOVE this book, probably one of my new favorites. I can't seem to get enough of it. Everyone needs this book in their life!!!!

So, I definitely liked the first half of the book which is an interview between Ayoade and Ayoade and I couldn't put it down. The second half was good, but the first half is worth the price alone. I love watching Richard Ayoade in doing just about anything and he doesn't fail to make me laugh in this. Very worth the imported purchase.

If you like Richard Ayoade, the odds are that you'll like this book. If you are not familiar with him, this probably shouldn't be your first exposure.I really like Richard Ayoade's sense of humor, and this book was definitely funny. It definitely is not a way to get to know him, however, as the history presented by Ayoade is almost entirely false (though therein lies a lot of the humor).The main drawback of the book is that it gets a little repetitive. His strange and often warped representation of himself get a bit tiresome after a while.

Great read. Are you a fan of cinema, sarcasm, and Ayoade? If you fall in the middle of that triple Ven Diagram then you'll love this book. There are points where you'll be frustrating flipping the pages back and forth. Times when you'll feel foolish listening to the voice of the author telling you to turn to a page fifty pages ahead and then travel all the way back. But it's worth it. Humor is humor. And Ayoade is hilarious.

A modern poet, Ayoade stretches his legs into this subversive work of prose. Funny from cover to cover, honestly it's a treat. If you love cinema and have any interest in how the modern autor is evolving, do yourself a favor: get down.

The book arrived and I read it up to the third chapter, it is excelllent! It was Jesus talking to my heart and if I wasn’t so tired, I would have read it all evening. This book seems virtually alive and there is so much to take in. I have highlighted so many lines of text. The cd “Awakening is so peaceful” if you buy the book get the cd it will really bless you. You can hear 4 long songs on Amazon Music.

My only regret is that I have finished this book! Thankfully I can read it again. The wisdom that is taught in this book is simply amazing. The best part is that he uses scripture after scripture to back up everything he says. You can be assured this isn’t wisdom given from a man but the Word of God explained with wisdom. I bought one for myself and some for friends because I believe as Christians we all must learn how to pray effectively. No more casual Christianity. It’s time to become spiritual warriors for Christ

Kevin Zadai is one of the most sincere men of God today. His heart reflects that he has been with Jesus. The book covers why our prayers are not always answered as we had assumed, if at all. We need to learn to pray so Heaven responds. These are prayer and power keys to change your life. Excellent book and a must read for all Christians.

While reading this book I felt the Holy Spirit revealing how to apply what was written on the pages of this book to my own life. My prayer life has improved because of the principles in this book. I reread certain parts even now because there is so much revelation in this book. Kevin Zadai has definitely been given a word from the Lord Jesus for the body of Christ. The best thing about this book is that it is written in a way that you can apply what is written. It is not a book you just read and say wow he has had some amazing experiences. He has had some amazing experiences but he teaches the reader how to develop their relationship with the Holy Spirit and to obey or act on what the Lord says to you personally. I am actually developing a more intimate relationship with Jesus because of Kevin Zadai's books. All of the books he has authored are Holy Spirit inspired. If you purchase this book you will not be disappointed.

I really loved this book as Kevin took me on a journey about how the Lord wants to reveal himself to us and answer our prayers! So much to meditate on. I will have to read this one two or three times to grasp everything. I’m going to order it in paper back so I can make some notes. It’s difficult sometimes on Kindle because you want to go back to read certain things but have no idea where that was.
