Not entirely disappointed, but not the product I'd hoped for.Pros: The source books are excellent and full of info to make meaty runs in Seattle. In the 3 included books (more like magazines) you get history, politics, businesses, info about each of the regions, a series of NPC stats, decent building maps. The are pretty and staple bound, not instantly falling apart like my leather bound core book. You get a set of 5" x 7" double sided cards with ready made PCs (or NPCs) and a small Seattle map, a list of notable locations and a gang list. All helpful stuff to run in the Emerald City.Cons: Biggest initial gripe here is the giant poster sized map is utterly useless. Only significance is where the large corp structures are. No street names, nothing for the GM to use when invariably asked for an address or directions (two sided and the back is different . . . but is the same map?). You're better off with a current Seattle street guide. The map cards are a total waste of paper. They are 3.5" x 2.5" and you get 5 of each one. Like, players want to individually track everyone's positions on their own too small maps. Excellent quality, however, pointless.The quality of the printing is impressive. But as far as maps, you're on your own chummer.
Honestly, I regret purchasing this product... I expected more value for money. The content in terms of information is fine, but I already had it in pdf and wanted a hardcopy for our gaming group.Not a bad product per say, but unfortunately, the material looks rather cheap; the booklets are softcover stapled, the poster is pretty useless in play, and the goodies are not really raising my enthusiasm. So, the value is really not there for me.In contrast, the German translator for Shadowrun is apparently delivering the same improved product (with beautiful, useful maps) for just about half the price... I guess I need to learn German
It adds a few tools to help create a good gaming run truthfully I feel the older gen source books were more helpful the map cards are baseball sized the map is useless for game play the player cards or npc cards could be helpful but also easily could have come as a book with lists of corporate security stats and the like
